With unreasonably short notice, we invite you to this year’s second queer pub night. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, you’re warmly welcome. Let’s meet up and have a great evening together. This event is for queer people (anyone who identifies as queer or is exploring their identity or place in the community) and aims to create a safe and comfortable meeting space for those of us with non-normative sexualities or gender expressions, even within the DS scene. It will be an evening for those who want to chat, socialize, or connect with others in the scene. No matter your age, whether you’ve been part of the community for years or are brand new, we hope to offer good company and a warm sense of belonging. A few things to keep in mind: Since we will be in a public space, this is not aplay event but a social gathering. As the event includes alcohol, we ask that you drink in moderation for everyone’s comfort. Don’t forget to have a glass of water between drinks! Show general respect and care for each other. Hate and threats will not be tolerated. We also have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind and reserve the right to ban anyone who misbehaves from future events. Location: Bishops Arms, Bäverns gränd 17 A larger group has apparently already booked the usual sofas, but we’ll update where we’re seated once the hosts are on-site! Dress code: Come as you are—whether that’s in your work clothes, comfy sweatpants, or a queer kink outfit. Note: Your outfit can be queer and kinky, but it must stay within the limits of what’s appropriate in a public setting. About the term queer: Queer is a broad term with many meanings, but common themes include breaking norms around identity, sexuality, or gender expression. We won’t provide a fixed definition; instead, we encourage everyone to reflect on whether and how they relate to the term. If you feel you fit within it, you are warmly welcome! Do you have questions? Are you new or feeling nervous about coming? Feel free to reach out to one of the pub hosts, and we’ll try to find ways to make it easier for you. Pub host: Eshra |
