Welcome to FemRope - a new rope event in Uppsala!

This event is for everyone who identifies as a woman, AFAB non-binary or feminine-presenting non-binary person.*

The event is created as a part of Peer Rope - Uppsala, but the hosts from Peer rope will not participate at FemRope.

Experienced or beginner doesn’t matter - everyone is welcome! You can come with a partner or you can come alone. You can come just to tie, to be tied, or both (or maybe just because you’re curious about rope!).

The purpose of the event is to create a place where women, AFAB non-binary and feminine-presenting non-binary individuals can practice rope in a safe and relaxed environment. There is no instructor at this point, instead we will learn from each other.

Rules:
- Consent is everything - ask before you touch someone or someone’s belongings
- No means no
- Clothes: a minimum of underwear (topless is ok)
- It’s ok to take photos as long as everybody involved are fine with it - ask beforehand

If you have your own rope - bring them, otherwise there are some ropes of various materials that you can borrow.

There will be fika during the event, if you have any special dietary requirements you are welcome to contact the host (so we can make sure there is something for everyone!).

The event is free, but if you want to you can swish a contribution (up to 50 SEK, cash is ok too) that will be used for materials, venue, etc.

You sign up for the event by clicking ”attending”. The maximum number of people attending is 25.

* We understand that terms like AFAB and feminine-presenting can be problematic, and that people may feel they are being defined by aspects they do not wish to be defined by. We apologise for that. However, we want to keep this event free from men and people who are perceived as men, and for that reason we need to apply some kind of criteria for non-binary individuals. Our intention is not to judge or define anyone, but simply to create a safe space for those who feel unsafe around men. We hope you can see what we are trying to achieve. If you have suggestions or ideas for a better way to define the target group, please let us know!
