Experience an enriching and deepening day focused on co-creation in suspension! Our workshops offer a unique opportunity to strengthen your connection and reflect on your role as a rigger or model in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you choose to participate only in Saturday's floorwork, Sunday's suspension, or the entire weekend, this is a journey designed to help you grow both practically and mentally. Find Saturday’s floorwork workshop here: https://www.fetopia.com/?event=64038 Our goal for the weekend is to create a safe and creative space where you and your partner can explore and experiment with different situations in rope. The focus is on strengthening your communication and increasing your understanding of yourselves, your experiences, and your desires in rope. We encourage reflection and sharing of experiences to build both technical and emotional awareness. During the weekend, we will explore questions such as: What do you define as "good" or "bad" pain? How can you prepare for and handle different situations that may arise in rope? How can you improve your communication with both yourself and your rope partner? What is your risk profile, and how can you manage it safely and responsibly? More detailed description of the day: Welcome to our co-creation suspension course! This course is designed for those who have prior experience with suspension and want to deepen their knowledge and skills. We expect you to already have some experience, which allows you to contribute your own insights and reflections as well as learn from other participants. (Unsure if this course is right for you? Contact us, and we’ll be happy to help you decide!) Technique and Safety During the course, we will explore and deepen our understanding of the following aspects: Upper-body ties: We will go through different ways to create safe and customized upper-body ties for the person being tied (the model). Futomomo: We will explore pain management and lower-body maneuvering using these techniques. Body Awareness and Risk Profile We will discuss risk profiles, injury prevention, and nerve safety, as well as how to increase your body awareness to reduce the risk of injury. You will learn how to identify and manage potential risks, both as a rigger and as a model. Reflection and Experience Sharing An important part of the course is reflection and sharing experiences. By sharing your own experiences and listening to others, you will gain a deeper and broader understanding of suspension. We will alternate between theory, discussions, and practical exercises, allowing you to directly apply what you learn and develop your technique. Partnering and Communication Choosing the right partner and creating genuine and open communication are crucial for experiencing a meaningful and safe suspension. We will explore what is important to consider when choosing a partner to tie with and how you can build a relationship based on trust, respect, and attentiveness. The focus is on creating a dynamic where both partners’ needs, boundaries, and desires are honored. Practical Information *Price per pair: 1800:- The workshop has space for six pairs. They value subjective teaching, inviting participants to explore and draw their own conclusions about their rope practice rather than prescribing what’s “right” or “better.” Their workshops focus on emotional and physical awareness, risk analysis, empowerment, community, social constructs, and exploration. With experience from both top and bottom perspectives, Fittglitter offers a creative and nuanced approach, holding space for the emotional and physical complexities of desire and vulnerability. Rope (They/Them) Rope has been organizing queer separatist events in their home since 2018, focusing on free exploration and co-creation. They have also performed at Stockholm Pride and taught rope and kink workshops for SLM Stockholm. Rope is passionate about education rooted in community-building, feminism, and disability rights.
